Patrick Burgoyne

Editor - Creative Review

Patrick yesterday was talking about self initiated work, and how it can get a lot of attention when showcased in the right place and way.

Examples included...

Women laughing alone with salad - Edith Zimmerman

66 Drives - Andrew Bush

Recycled Business Cards - Andrew Byrom

This showed that a lot of recognition can come from just one project, obviously we are aiming to complete a portfolios worth of work, but in a way this took the pressure of a bit. As something special and/or interesting can be seen in the simplest of work.

It also got me thinking about the self initiated work that I am working on at the moment and how I would showcase that work to as many people as possible for as little money as possible.
