A couple of weeks ago I got my website up and running (the link to which is on the right hand side, under the heading 'Pages'). It was an aim of mine to get work up on the web as soon as it was finished.
I got back in contact with the third year I helped out last year (who is well practiced in building websites) and he very kindly built it for me. Nothing too complicated, the work being the only thing to grab the viewers eye.

Thinking of different ways to get this work seen by the right people, or even just anyone, is difficult. 

Emails would be the standard way, so maybe something physical, delivered to the door?
