This talk was very interesting as I hadn't imagined that a talk by a fine artist would have engaged me so much. Here what interested me most was variety in scale that Jo has been commissioned to work in and also the variety of clients. I gave me an insight into how a fine artist is approached by clients, how the competition side of the industry works, and also the varying length of time that she had to work on the projects.
I found her work very attractive. Especially here pieces that seemed edifical in nature as i ahev a great interest in architecture, and some of her work loosely related to my second year photography project called 'Reign'.
Something else I gained form Jo's talk was that she always tried to use the same fabricators. This stuck in my head because I thought it would be very useful for me to start doing the same. So I looked into, printers, bookbinders etc, and started compiling a list of places I could use when the time came.
